About Rupal

rupal.jpg

Hey! I'm Rupal Mohta. I was born in India to parents who always managed to lay their hands on some reading matter! I grew up in southern India, around coconut trees. Life was simple and my childhood was so happy. I studied, lots of it but little would  have I imagined to grow up to be an author.  And today here I'm an author, blogger and content writer, company secretary, artist and mom. I make my home in India with my husband, and our two inquisitive kids. Incidentally, they also love to lay their hands on reading matter just like their grandparents!

I love my undisciplined terrace garden. I can cook, dance, sing, and sketch. I try to devotedly write a few pages each week because bringing a story to life fascinates me. I'm terrible with new age technical gadgets and regular exercising! But hey I'm trying!

When I'm not writing you can catch me secretly eating a chocolate bar and reading a favorite book or even dusting a corner in my home.

Go on, pick up my books and read my written words in a cozy nook, all in the while sipping an inspiring mug of chocolate milkshake fuel and secretly eating a chocolate bar!

Rupal is a wife, mother, company secretary (CPA equivalent) by profession and an author by passion. She makes her home in India with her family and an undisciplined terrace garden!

Rupal grew up close to nature and as a child played happily around coconut trees. She could write for hours, creating interesting characters, a skill that helped her become a content writer and blogger in addition to pursuing a corporate career.

After she had her own kids, the world of children’s literary fiction fascinated her. She was inspired to write her first book for kids when the COVID pandemic shut the world down. Her book “INDIAN SIDE UP” slowly began to take shape and was published in February 2021. The book has gone on to become a bestseller on Amazon.in, and is available worldwide.

Favorite children’s books:
The Blue Umbrella by Ruskin Bond
A Squash and A Squeeze by Julia Donaldson
